Goldenrod Smoke, Opus 467, 2009
13 by 10 inches. Frameless.

This was a small series related by their intimacy, abstraction and ability to create a space the viewer feels comfortable inhabiting with their own interpretations of what they feel, or perhaps know, is there.

Everything around my new studio seems to be breaking out in shades of goldenrod this summer. Most everything around my studio happens to be some weed or other, but the colors are nonetheless impressive, and fit in well with the trees. There's also a foundry nearby, which explains the smoke.
